Borud emerging front runner at Williston Basin Speedway


Sage Borud from Williston, North Dakota has two wins on the season and is the current point leader at Williston Basin Speedway. Borud opened the season with a victory and followed it up with a second win in the second race of the season. He is yet to finish outside the top five in the events run at the speedway this season.


Landon Gaudreau is the most recent winner at Williston bringing the winning streak of Borud to and end. Gaudreau finds himself in the third spot in the point standings, just six points out of the top spot.


Sandwiched in between these two racers in the point standings is Ayden Hill who is just four points out of the top spot in the point standings.


Hailey Mattox and Jace Keller are the top five in the standings going into the next event at Williston Basin Speedway this coming weekend racing both Friday and Saturday.


The Slingshots will invade Jonestown, Pennsylvania October 29, 30, and 31 at Linda's Speedway for the annual World Championship Weekend. Both the All Star and Junior Slingshots will be in action for four races in three days. Details are being released often on LindasSpeedway.com


The active Slingshot car count currently numbers near 400, with weekly racing venues located in Alabama, New York, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and New Jersey. Slingshots have competed throughout the country; including Delaware, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado, Maryland, Indiana, Louisiana, Texas, Arizona, Tennessee, and South Carolina.


A new assembled Slingshot rolls out of Speedway Entertainment at a cost of $8,888.
