RETURN TO BRIDGEPORT INCLUDES TIGHT CAR OWNER POINT BATTLE AND DEBUT OF BUCCAFUSCA
Following a successful debut in July, the USAC All Pro Speedstrs will return to Bridgeport Speedway this weekend.
The Kingdom of Speed welcomes back the Speedstrs on Labor Day Weekend for their second appearance following a last lap duel between Steve Drevicki and Jared Silfee for the win in the first start at the track.
Saturday September 5 the grandstands will open at 5 with warm up starting at 6. Admission to the grandstands will be $22 for adults and kids (10-15) $10. Pit admission is $30/$40.
A fruitful start for Jared Silfee with DA Hanson has pushed the long-time car owner to give an opportunity to another Slingshot standout. Danny Buccafusca will make his Speedstr debut at Bridgeport this weekend. Buccafusca is a former Action Track point champion in Atlantic City indoor winner in the Slingshots.
Bridgeport cornerstone names such as Pauch and Iulg will be in the field as well a strong group of young talent this Saturday.
It was also announced this week that the Speedstrs will be part of the Danny Serrano 100 Weekend on Sunday Sept 27th with the big 100 lap finale for the Modifieds.
Currently Earl Fellin leads the owner championship with drivers Tim Buckwalter and Steve Drevicki. Steve Buckwalter’s championship at Action Track USA has Bob Swavely second. Roy Danner (Briggs Danner), Mike Heffner (Billy Pauch Jr), and Paul Lotier (Alex Yankowski) are the top five in owner points going into the weekend’s events.
