Action is heating up north of the border as the Canadian Slingshot racers kick back into full swing post pandemic!
Mathis Caron opened the season with a win at Autodrome Granby and is the current point leader for the All Star Slingshots. Caron holds just six points over another feature winner Cedric Tremblay. Yoan Nault is third in the point standings.
Marco McCarthy also has a win at Granby this season.
Olivier Desrosiers scored the opening win for the Junior Slingshots at Graby this season. Since then Loik Messier has been the one to beat taking the next two checkered flags. Messier is the current point leader for the Junior’s. Ludovic Guillemette is third in the standings.
RPM Speedway hosted a race for the Slingshots that saw Sabrina Blanchet claim the victory in her 21s. Blanchet bested Jeff Beaumier and Claudie Lizotte on the podium.
Loik Messier proved his diversity by snagging a checkered flag at RPM to go with his Graby wins. Messier’s win came over Ludovic Guillemette and Jacob Nadeau.
At Audrome BSL Yves Gagné is the most recent winner but is still chasing Junior Pouliot in the point standings. Pouliot is undefeated in the qualifiers this season, winning all four of them. Those prelim wins along with the opening night victory had catapulted Pouliot in the top spot in the points. Gagné is second followed by Yvan Rioux.
