Carolina Slingshots Ready for Take Off

The Series travels to several race tracks across the East Coast, Canada and now to be in the Carolinas. Tobias Slingshots are based off of full size North East Dirt Modifieds. Keeping racing affordable for new members, teams, and families is the number one focus for both the Series, and the Division. What stands us apart is that we combine a Fast, Fun, Cost Effective, Family Oriented, Competitive, Race Series with cars that are half the cost of the full size Modifieds, however are twice the fun, and excitement.

Carolina Slingshots Division staff is hard at work with Local tracks to bring North Carolina Drivers, and Teams a highly sought after weekly series not only for Drivers, and teams but for Fans as well. We are currently looking at many different Tracks to include Dirt, Asphalt as well as Arena venues for competition. North Carolina will prove to be the Home base for the division as well as the Home of the Divisions Authorized Dealer program.

Originally from the North East, the series Director, was born and raised in the family business of R&R Service Center which was located in Upstate NY this is where his passion of motorsports was passed onto him. His father who during the 70’s and 80’s was heavily involved in the areas Racetracks such as Albany Saratoga, Fonda Speedway, Lebanon Valley, and the Syracuse Moody Mile. The family garage would also be involved with many Big Name drivers of the time such as Lou “The Monk” Lazzaro, and “Super” CD Coville just to name a few. With this the directors passion for racing grew. That passion moved him and his family to NC to further pursue a motorsports career in NASCAR. Years later as the same with Speedway Entertainment Owner Rich Tobias he saw the need for a more Cost Effective, Competitive, yet Fun and entertaining racing venue. Hence R&R speed was born bringing the Speedway Entertainment Tobias Slingshot Series to the Carolinas. With over a total combined 80 plus years of knowledge from both Rich Tobias, the Staff at Speedway Entertainment, and the staff at Carolina Slingshots the Series division has what is needed to help Teams, and Drivers looking to Join Both.
