Reimert Stars in Speedstr Middleford Speedway Debut

Middleford Speedway cut the ribbon on their return to racing on the Oct 10 weekend and when the green flag dropped in the main event it looked like Mike Bednar would be the first driver to get a checkered flag at the newly renovated speedway.

Bednar showed the way for much of the feature until Louden Reimert surged to the race lead from his seventh starting spot. Reimert showed a lot of potential for car owner Barry Von Doren throughout the season with their hard work showing off on Saturday Night.

Reimert pulled away from the field in the closing laps and survived a late race restart showing he was indeed the class of the field for the full event.

Mike Bednar finished in second with TJ Mayberry rounding out the podium finishers.

Kenny Miller III finished in fourth with Briggs Danner rounding out the top five.

With the top five finish, Danner closed the gap in the owner points to tighten up the title chase. Earl Fellin is still the Car Owner championship leader ahead of Roy Danner and Bob Swavely.

The Speedstrs next event will be the double header at the “Kingdom of Speed” Bridgeport Speedway on the weekend of the rescheduled Danny Serrano 100 on Saturday Nov 7.
