Steve Buckwalter was first to the checkered flag in the final race before the Garden State 100 on November 13-14 at the Bridgeport Motorsports Park.
Buckwalter led the whole event with the exception of a slide job in one corner from eventual runner up Briggs Danner. Danner’s lead was short lived as the Royerford native drove back to the top spot.
Buckwalter, the 2020 Action Track USA SpeedSTR champion, and Danner, the 2021 Action Track USA champion, stayed close for much of the event but Buckwalter was not to be denied on this night.
Buckwalter was the winner in the season opening event at Middleford Speedway in Delaware in March. Although the weather is once again getting cold, Buckwalter is heating up at just the right time to be considered a favorite for the $10,000 to win A Main in just one week.
Buckwalter and Danner were joined on the podium by Ryan Krachun. Dillon Steuer and Tom Mayberry rounded out the top five finishers.
