Veteran Driver Bednar & Rookies Shine in week two of Speedstr Racing

Mike Bednar is a former Speedstr National Champion but Wednesday night’s win at Action Track USA was only the second for Bednar who returned to the seat this season for DA Hanson

Tim Buckwalter and Ryan Godown fought to the front of the 30-lap feature event and challenged Bednar, but to no avail. Bednar was strong on a late race restart and held the challengers at bay.

It was the first Action Track Usa win for car owner DA Hanson.

Godown, the winner Sunday at Bridgeport, has adapted quickly to the Speedstr running in the top five both weeks and now stands a top of the Speedstr Action Track point standings.

Louden Reimert ran strong in the VonDoren Stables car challenging for the lead and then running in the top five the whole race.

Gary Wagner turned the luck around for the Reitnouer Motorsports team placing the 47 car in the top five.

Jared Silfee secured a heat race win following an impressive run through the field.

Kenny Miller III was the quick time driver for the night. A strong feature run ended with a mechanical issue.

The Speedstr’s are back in competition next Wednesday, July 8, with the Ronnie Tobias Memorial Twin 20 lap features.
